We currently enjoy it as a small resort town full of services, but it also hides the history of a cultural settlement that existed many years before Christ. The Peñón de Ifach has acted as a magnet to attract the different civilizations that found a truly valuable place in the strategic location of Calpe, especially the Phoenicians, thanks to their Mediterranean trade routes. They were in charge of building the Baños de la Reina, an old fish farm with more than 2000 years old. Around it, a water wheel was built that supplied the complex and a set of hot springs known as the Termas de la Muntanyeta.
Quiet city, Calpe is a destination that offers clean and well-kept beaches, museums and squares; A city open to families, with activities and guided tours to enjoy all year round.
Like other coastal towns in the province, Calpe has an interesting old town, which grew overlooking the sea and in which beautiful colored houses and twisty streets are still preserved. We will look to the past by taking a leap back in history, in the years when Calpe was an Arab medina in the middle of the Muslim invasion.
